Be sure to have a watchmaker clean and oil it if you want to wear it, as most flea market finds probably haven't been serviced in many years.HandyDanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02083270175066343104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5855696413978429801.post-39815913519539491462020-06-11T14:19:22.317-07:002020-06-11T14:19:22.317-07:00My name is Franklin Hamilton. I showed it to him, and he said he thought he had one. He did, and I bought it. I've always thought it was pretty cool that I had a watch that matched my name. It's not as bad as the one you started with, and it, of course, is not as nice as yours after you restored it. It runs and keeps good time. Thanks for your article. It was very informative. It has never run a minute and has sat in my desk drawer in its original box for the past 45 years. I've never worn a watch before but I'd like to start. I also find the bracelet uncomfortable. Can you recommend a good watchmaker in Minneapolis?Nikosculpturehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03740556914831314209noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5855696413978429801.post-37331884116208898712015-06-14T18:25:55.766-07:002015-06-14T18:25:55.766-07:00Is it a Franklin or another model? You may have exposed it to a strong magnet (like put it in your golf bag next to a magnetic ball marker). Or maybe it was accidentally dropped and a pivot is bent. It could be an easy fix or it could be a big problem... only a watchmaker could say. Send me an email if you'd like a couple of recommendations.HandyDanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02083270175066343104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5855696413978429801.post-87941388139113333292015-04-22T05:39:05.087-07:002015-04-22T05:39:05.087-07:00I have a Franklin as well it's a 752.
