Welcome

Greetings!

Thanks for visiting my vintage Hamilton watch blog. I like to restore US-made Hamilton wrist watches back to their original glory and share my experiences with other enthusiasts. Use the "Search" space below if you know what model you're looking for. Feel free to leave polite comments or questions in the spaces provided. Also check out my "watches for sale" on my Etsy site - the link is on the right, just below.

Consult the Catalogs

Identifying a watch, especially a ladies model, may require perusing the catalogs that Hamilton distributed to retailers every year.  The main attributes to consider are the movement inside (the movement will date the model), the case material (solid gold, gold filled, etc.), the shape of the crystal (round, etc), and, of course, the overall details of the case and dial.  There are many similar models so understanding these features is important.

If you want to find part numbers for various Hamilton parts check out the Hamilton Parts Manual
